FastLogo
--------
FLOGOE is the english version of
Fastlogo, a special version of Logo
for very high sampling frequencies.

hardware
--------
you need a parallel interface and a
special adaptor. The adaptor can be
easily made by yourself, if you know
how to solder. A hand-sketched
circuit diagram can be found in
FLOGO.PCX. Parts needed:
1 capacitor, preferrably ceramic, 1
to 10 nF (C2)
1 electrolytic capacitor or gold
cap, as big as possible, should have
at least 10.000 F (C1)
1 IC 7204 (IC1)
This is a FIFO-memory. These things
aren't available easily... if there
is enough interest, i could get some
and sell them to you. Mine is from:

Farnell is an international
distributor for commercial users,
but I have ordered as a private
person, and they sent me the thing.
The chip is available in different
speeds (fmax=1/Geschwindigkeit), 35
ns equals up to 30 MHz, 50 ns equals
20 MHz.
You need to attach an external clock
source to provide the sampling
frequency. It should produce a 5 V
square wave. No voltage greater than
5 V or less than 0 V. It is possible
to use these little silvery-looking
oscillator modules which can be
found on most computer motherboards.
There is a switched power line
available for them (Uosc).
Disclaimer: The FIFO needs up to
150mA when running. They are taken
from the parallel port, buffered by
the large capacitor. This will
extremely overload the interface and
possibly even the portfolio's
internal power system. But it seems
to work for me here... But i do not
pay anything for any damage caused
by use of the Logo package including
Fastlogo.

Operation
---------
Look into the documentation of Logo.
The operation is similar, except of
the "f" and "t" options in graphics
screen. They are not available here.
There are only 4096 datas in memory
because this is the capacity of the
FIFO.

Internal
--------
This program includes no assembler
routines. It is the first Logo
program which is available with an
englisch user interface.

Copyright
---------
This is shareware. Copying and using
is OK. If you use it for a longer
time, you need to pay registration
fee. For further notes look in
LOGOE.TXT

Wish list
---------
I want to include a programmable
crystal oscillator (this needs only
1 chip today... amazing). And maybe
later i could include an AD
converter to produce a scope from
Logo.

Have fun!
And tell me everything what you
think about this program!
Gunnar
